Students also get hands-on learning through professional seminars, conference travel opportunities, and geospatial externships.

The Geospatial Analytics program is guided by values like prioritizing student mental health and well-being, data ethics, environmental and social justice, collaboration, community, and equity. The university aims to increase the representation of historically underrepresented students in U.S. higher education.
